9 Minute Method
Title: Give Me 9 Minutes, and 2025 Will Be Your Best Year Yet
Framework: Give Me (Time Frame), and (You’ll Achieve Goal)
Hook score: +1322
Why this works:
Time Frame – The time frame of “9 minutes” makes this video feel more tangible and interesting.
Timeliness – This was published at the end of 2024 when everybody was excited about the upcoming year. It’s a time when people are planning for and getting excited about the future.
Desire – This creator’s audience would love to have their best year yet.
Curiosity – This title builds curiosity because it promises a big benefit, but is vague about what you’ll get from watching this video and how you’ll get it.
How you can use this framework: Tell your audience to give you a few minutes and they’ll get a big benefit. Bonus points if that benefit is relevant to what’s going on right now.

- Finally Got a 6 Pack and Now I Regret It. Here’s Why…
- I Visited Every State in America and Now I Regret It. Here’s Why…
Flop of the Week
Title: What Happened to the Merrill Lynch Mansion?
Hook score: -72
Why this flopped: If you want to build curiosity, there’s a sweet spot you gotta land in: your audience needs to have some idea of what you’re talking about to be interested, but not know too much that they already know the answer.
In this case, I’d assume most people have no idea what happened to the Merrill Lynch mansion or know anything about it, so their curiosity isn’t piqued enough.
This title might work if it was about something more familiar, like the first White House, but obviously that’s not the case.
So instead, I’d try to make this title about something more familiar or easily understandable, like:
“The Most Insane Mansion In Southampton”
or
“Inside This $40,000,000 New York Mansion”
