A few years ago I landed my dream job as the marketing manager at a fishing company. Part of my job was managing our YouTube channel, but there was one problem: it was my first time running a YouTube channel and I was terrible at writing titles.
I almost got fired because I was so bad and, on YouTube, a video’s title is so important.
But then I learned the secret: you don’t need to be good at writing titles, you just need to model successful YouTube videos.
Here’s how it works: I would find a video that did well in another industry, like finance.
Let’s say the title was, “10 Best Credit Cards in 2023.” I would model that idea for our fishing channel and make a video about “10 Best Trout Lures in 2023.”
It worked so well that not only did I save my job, but our channel started taking off.
After a few years of this working for our fishing channel, I had a hunch it would work for other channels, so I started Creator Hooks.
As it turns out, it does work!
Now every Monday morning at 8 a.m. ET, I send out five videos worth modeling so you can save time on research, learn the psychology of writing YouTube titles, and grow your channel.
