Fastest Way to 100,000 Subscribers on YouTube in 2024

I’ve asked some of the best creators on YouTube, “How do you write such great titles?”

And they’ve all said the same thing: “I just model what works.”

So this email will show you 5 videos worth modeling to help you write great titles and save time.

Btw, if you want to save more time and use a title generator that uses all the titles ever featured in Creator Hooks, check out Creator Hooks Pro.

Guitar Grudge

Title: I Hate These Guitars (so I bought one)

Framework: I Hate These [Objects] (so I bought one)

Hook score: +406

Why this works:

Curiosity – This title builds curiosity because it’s counterintuitive to buy a guitar you hate. It makes you wonder why he bought it.

Negativity – Hating a guitar brings some drama and animosity here, which grabs your attention.

How you can use this framework: Tell your audience that you hate something, so you bought it.

Examples of this framework in action:

  • I Hate These Grills (so I bought one)
  • I Hate These Sewing Machines (so I bought one)

The 10K Way

Title: Fastest Way to $10,000 a Month with Coding in 2024

Framework: Fastest Way to (Specific Goal) with (Opportunity) in (Current Year)

Hook score: +414

Why this works:

Desire – Not only does this creator’s audience wants to make $10,000/month, but they’d also love to do it the fastest way. People love speed.

Timeliness – This video was published in January of 2024, when everybody was feeling excited and hopeful about the new year. Dropping “in 2024” at the end of the title grabs people’s attention and lets them know this is relevant right now.

How you can use this framework: Tell your audience about the fastest way to achieve a specific goal. Bonus points if that goal is extra relevant right now.

Examples of this framework in action:

  • Fastest Way to 100,000 Subscribers on YouTube in 2024
  • Fastest Way to $10,000/Month with Real Estate in 2024

Flippin Out

Title: I Should NOT Have Done This!

Framework: I Should NOT Have (Activity) This!

Hook score: +448

Why this works:

Curiosity – This title and thumbnail open a loop because they make you want to know how he got himself in this predicament (and how he’s gonna get himself out).

Negativity – People love drama and this title and thumbnail have a lot of it.

I typically like to be a bit more descriptive in my titles (you don’t need “keywords”, but you do need to tell your audience what your video is about). However, the thumbnail is so descriptive and drama-filled that it gets the job done.

How you can use this framework: Tell your audience that you shouldn’t have done something, and show in the thumbnail that you got yourself in a tough situation.

Examples of this framework in action:

  • I Should NOT Have Tried This!
  • I Should NOT Have Asked Her This!

Clash of the Titans

tolkien vs disney thumbnail

Title: Why Tolkien Hated Disney

Framework: Why (Authority Figure) Hated (Other Authority Figure)

Hook score: +1155

Why this works:

Negativity – This title promises a lot of drama.

Authority – This gets the audience’s attention and is more interesting because it’s about J. R. R. Tolkien and Walt Disney, two of the biggest names in entertainment.

Curiosity – Since these are two of the biggest names in entertainment, you would probably assume that they would have a mutual respect for one another, but this title says otherwise.

How you can use this framework: Tell your audience why one authority figure hated another.

Examples of this framework in action:

  • Why Steve Jobs Hated Bill Gates
  • Why Tom Brady Hated the NFL

Carnivore Cash

carnivore dieters thumbnail

Title: Carnivore Dieters: This Cut of Meat Will Save You Lots Of Money

Framework: (Specific Group): This (Object) Will (Help You Achieve Goal)

Hook score: +2330

Why this works:

Specific Audience – This grabs the attention of a specific group of people (carnivore dieters) and makes them more likely to click.

Desire – Most people would love to save lots of money.

Curiosity – This title opens a loop because it makes you want to know what cut of meat this is.

Timeliness – This title rides the growing trend of carnivore diets.

Here’s an interesting screenshot that shows keto diet and carnivore diet actually get the same number of searches these days:

keto diet vs carnivore diet search volume

How you can use this framework: Call out a specific group of people and show them how they can achieve a big goal with a certain tool.

Examples of this framework in action:

  • Faceless YouTubers: This AI Tool Will Save You Lots Of Money
  • Tiny House Owners: This Tax Loophole Will Save You Lots Of Money

Flop of the Week

knives thumbnail

Title: My Life Through Knives: A Butcher Wizard History

Hook score: -96

Why this flopped: The video about Carnivore Dieters above (from this same channel) was all about the audience, but this one is all about the creator.

Besides that, this title is vague and bland. What does “my life through knives” even mean?

The goal of this video was for the creator to share his story, and he still could’ve done that even while positioning the video as a benefit to the audience.

Something like, “The One Kitchen Knife Everyone Needs To Own.”

Alright, that wraps up this week’s Creator Hooks!
