I’ve asked some of the best creators on YouTube, “How do you write such great titles?”
And they’ve all said the same thing: “I just model what works.”
So this email will show you 5 videos worth modeling to help you write great titles and save time.

Framework: (New Product) | (Goal) Without (Complaint)
Hook score: +458
Why this works:
Desire – This creator’s audience is into new products, like this next-gen window AC.
Pain Point – This title takes a big pain point of AC units (annoying noise) and says that this product will give you what you want without the thing you don’t want.

Flop of the Week
Title: Renting Equipment For DIY Home Improvements| 9 Tips Every DIYer Should Know
Hook score: -89
Why this flopped: I think this video flopped for two reasons:
1) The topic isn’t exactly what his audience watches his channel for. It seems like the videos that do best for him are small DIY house projects anybody can do (like installing an AC unit, the first video in this email), not big projects that require you to rent heavy duty equipment like what the thumbnail shows.
2) The potential audience is small. Many people have window AC units, but much fewer people are willing and able to rent heavy duty equipment for their house projects.
To avoid this mistake, know why your audience watches your channel and if your topic has a big enough potential audience.
Alright, that wraps up this week’s Creator Hooks!
