Flop of the Week

email marketing guide

Title: The ONLY Ecommerce Email Marketing Guide You’ll Need

Hook score: -94

Why this flopped: There are a few reasons why this might have flopped:

  1. In the last year or so, this is the only video with “email marketing” in the title. It might not be the best topic for his channel.
  2. It might be too far down in the funnel. Optimizing your email marketing has a lot less of a potential audience than, say, finding products to drop ship.
  3. It might not be compelling enough. I love using “ONLY” in titles, but it’s possible the title just isn’t sexy enough.

Now the first two reasons this might’ve flopped are about the topic, but there’s not much we can do about that now that the video is already published. So let’s brainstorm some ideas to make the title more compelling.

We could add a benefit:

“Copy This Email Marketing Sequence To Blow Up Your Ecom Store In 2025”

We could add some FOMO:

“The $1,000,000 Ecommerce Email Strategy You’re Probably Not Using”

Or we could add more curiosity and be a little more broadly appealing and vague:

“The Simplest Strategy To 10X Your Ecom Store”
