Why this works:
Curiosity – Saying you can’t believe something is still free makes the audience wonder what it is and why it’s so good.
Desire – Everybody likes free stuff, and this creator’s audience loves great waves plugins.
How you can use this hook: Tell your audience about the tool that’s so good you can’t believe it’s free.

Why this works:
List – Lists make videos feel more tangible and add a little bit of curiosity.
Negativity – We’re biologically wired to listen to warnings, and this title leverages that.
How you can use this hook: Tell your audience about the things they should not say to a person.

How you can use this hook: Tell your audience about cool things in your niche you had no idea existed.

Flop of the Week
Title: The WORST Dating Advice For Women You SHOULD NOT Listen To!
Hook score: -83
Why this flopped: Normally I have a good idea for why a video flopped, but this week I don’t.
This video (and my second choice for flop of the week) seems to have a pretty good title.
So this is just a reminder that the title isn’t everything. There’s a lot that goes into how successful you are on YouTube.
My favorite bit of advice? Get 1% better with every video.
