10 YouTube Trends Everybody Is Sick Of

I’ve asked some of the best creators on YouTube, “How do you write such great titles?”

And they’ve all said the same thing: “I just model what works.”

So this email will show you 5 videos worth modeling to help you write great titles and save time.

Time Frame – “20-minute” learning routine makes this study plain (and therefore, this video) feel more tangible and achievable.

Hook score: +453

Why this works:

Negativity – There’s lots of drama in this title, and people love drama.

Authority – “Big NFL Names” grabs your attention more than just “NFL Names”. (Plus it builds curiosity by leaving it open-ended, so you want to know who these players are.)

Flop of the Week

fans crying thumbnail

Title: 10 Times Fans Were Caught Crying Over Their Team in the Stands

Hook score: -71

Why this flopped: This title and thumbnail don’t fit with the rest on this channel and they don’t call out this channel’s core audience.

Every other video on this channel is about the NFL, and these creators make it obvious they’re about the NFL.

They have “NFL” in the title and NFL players in the thumbnails.

But not this one.

So the next time you make a video, make sure it’s about a topic your audience wants to watch on your channel, and make it obvious in the title and thumbnail that your video is about that topic.

Alright, that wraps up this week’s Creator Hooks!
