I’ve asked some of the best creators on YouTube, “How do you write such great titles?”
And they’ve all said the same thing: “I just model what works.”
So this email will show you 5 videos worth modeling to help you write great titles and save time.
not an enviable position
Title: The Internet’s Most Hated Streamer
Framework: The (Place’s) Most Hated (Entity)
Outlier score: 3.7x
Why this works:
Negativity – People love drama and controversy and “Most Hated” certainly promises that here.
Extreme – By positioning this guy as the most hated, it makes this title extreme, bold, and unique.
How you can use this framework: Tell your audience about the most hated (or similarly negative emotion) person or thing in your space.
Examples of this framework in action:
- The NBA’s Most Hated Player
- Hollywood’s Most Hated Actor
one notebook to rule them all
Title: How I Organize My Entire Life Using Just One Notebook
Framework: How I (Achieve Epic Goal) Using Just One (Tool)
Outlier score: 4.1x
Why this works:
Desire – This audience would love to organize their life.
Constraint – The constraint of “Just One Notebook” does two things:
- It increases the desire because it makes organizing your life feel simple.
- It makes this idea seem more challenging and intriguing.
How you can use this framework: Tell your audience how you achieve a big goal with only one tool.
Examples of this framework in action:
- How I Meal Prep For An Entire Week In Just 1 Hour
- How I Run My Entire Business Using Just One Spreadsheet

The Trump Test
Title: REAL DOCTOR demonstrates Trump’s ACTUAL COGNITIVE TEST (would you pass it?)
Framework: REAL [Professional] demonstrates [Trending subject] (would you [Action]?)
Outlier score: 4.5x
Why this works:
Authority – This builds credibility with “REAL DOCTOR”.
Trust – In addition to the authority, this also builds trust through a demonstration and claiming to have the actual test.
How you can use this framework: Have a professional demonstrate something trending.
Examples of this framework in action:
- REAL ASTRONAUT demonstrates the ACTUAL NASA Fitness Test
- LAWYER Reveals The ACTUAL DUI Rules Given To Cops
Levels to this game
Title: How Banks Treat You at Every Level of Wealth
Framework: How (Entities) Treat You at Every Level of (Status)
Outlier score: 7.3x
Why this works:
Curiosity – Different levels of things naturally build curiosity because there’s contrast between them.
Status – This is about status and how you’re treated differently based on your status.
How you can use this framework: Tell your audience about how you’re treated differently at different levels.
Examples of this framework in action:
- How Hotels Treat You at Every Level of Wealth
- How Recruiters Treat You at Every Level of Experience
Stop the Sycophant
Title: The Real Reason AI Won’t Tell You You’re Wrong – Until You Do This
Framework: The Real Reason (Problem occurs) – Until You Do This
Outlier score: 8.2x
Why this works:
Curiosity – This builds curiosity in two ways:
- “The Real Reason” makes you feel like you’re getting in on a secret.
- “Until You Do This” opens a loop and makes you want to know what “this” is.
Negativity – This grabs people’s attention and interest because it’s about a problem many people face: AI just telling you what you want to know and not the truth.
How you can use this framework: Tell your audience about the real reason a problem happens until they do “this”.
Examples of this framework in action:
- The Real Reason Your Tomatoes Aren’t Growing – Until You Do This
- The Real Reason You’re Not Making Any Money From The Stock Market – Until You Do This
Flop of the Week
Title: Kling 3.0 Multi-Shot Prompts Is it Game Changer or Gimmick?
Outlier score: .11x
Why this flopped: There are two main things I think could be better here.
First, bold, opinionated statements often do better than questions like this. It might’ve done better if the title was, “Kling 3.0 Multi-Shot Prompts Is A Game Changer”.
But then we need to ask ourselves, are people actually into Kling 3.0 Multi-Shot Prompts?
Based on this video’s performance, I’m guessing not. So if it were me, I’d probably zoom out and just try to build desire and curiosity by focusing on the benefits and using broadly appealing language.
Something like, “This New Multi-Shot AI Is Changing The Game”.
