Swing Secrets

Title: Everyone’s Iron Swing Is BAD Until They Learn This!

Framework: Everyone’s (Possession or Attribute) Is BAD Until They Learn This!

Why this works:

Curiosity – This opens a loop and makes you want to know what “This” is.

Negativity – This calls out a pain point to grab people’s attention and interest.

How you can use this framework: Tell your audience that everyone’s something is bad until they learn “this”.

AI Acceleration

you're using AI wrong

Title: You’re Not Behind (Yet): How to Learn AI in 17 Minutes

Framework: You’re Not Behind (Yet): How to Learn [Subject] in [Short time frame]

Hook score: +419

Why this works:

Fear – This addresses a big fear the audience might have that they’re behind.

Desire – This creator’s audience would love to learn AI.

Time Frame – The time frame of “17 Minutes” does two things:

  1. It adds to the desire because 17 minutes isn’t that long to learn something exciting and valuable.
  2. It makes the video more tangible and specific (and, therefore, more interesting).

How you can use this framework: Tell your audience that they’re not behind (yet) and how to learn something interesting in a short time frame.

Examples of this framework in action:

  • You’re Not Behind (Yet): Make Your Retirement Investment Plan in 9 Minutes

Just a Simple Sentence

Hook score: +6631

Why this works:

Pain Point – This starts with a problem or pain point to grab the right audience’s attention and interest.

Desire – People who are blindsided likely want to take their power back.

Curiosity – This opens a loop and makes you want to know what this one sentence is.

Scarcity – “This One Sentence” brings more focus on the sentence and makes it more valuable and interesting.

Secret Screws

Flop of the Week

I'm not your nice girl

Title: The One Sentence That Takes You From IRRELEVANT TO HIGH STATUS AT WORK

Hook score: -99

Why this flopped: I think this flopped because it’s too vague. What does high status mean? Does it mean a promotion? A raise?

And the thumbnail text doesn’t really seem to fit with the title.

This video might’ve done better if the title was about a more specific desire and the thumbnail text supported it. Maybe something like:

Title: “The One Sentence That Gets You A Raise At Work”

Thumbnail text: “Say This To Get A Raise”
