I’ve asked some of the best creators on YouTube, “How do you write such great titles?”
And they’ve all said the same thing: “I just model what works.”
So this email will show you 5 videos worth modeling to help you write great titles and save time.
P.S. If you want to save more time and use a title generator that uses all the titles from this newsletter, check out Creator Hooks Pro.
How?
Title: We grew a forest WITHOUT planting a single tree
Framework: We (Achieved goal) WITHOUT (Necessary step)
Hook score: +300
Why this works:
Curiosity – This title is counterintuitive because how in the world is it possible to grow a forest without planting a single tree?
How you can use this framework: Tell your audience that you achieved a goal without doing an obvious and hard step you need to take to achieve that goal.
Examples of this framework in action:
- I grew my YouTube channel WITHOUT making a single video
- I built an app WITHOUT writing a single line of code
Worth It
Title: it sucks, but it’ll skyrocket your energy levels…
Framework: it sucks, but it’ll (Achieve goal)…
Hook score: +434
Why this works:
Negativity – Starting this off with “it sucks” adds some tension and fear and grabs the audience’s attention.
Curiosity – This builds curiosity in two ways:
- It opens a loop and makes you wonder what method he’s talking about.
- The contrast between “it sucks” and “it’ll skyrocket your energy levels” also builds curiosity.
Desire – Most people would love to skyrocket their energy levels.
Believability – By admitting that “it sucks”, it makes the bold claim of skyrocketing your energy levels more believable.
How you can use this framework: Tell your audience that something sucks, but it’ll achieve a big goal.
Examples of this framework in action:
- it sucks, but it’ll add 20+ yards to your driver swing…
- it sucks, but it’ll make your kitchen look immaculate…

P.S. I just got this email from a customer who used Creator Hooks Pro to write a title that helped his new channel get monetized:
You can do it!
Title: You’re gonna be a full-time creator in 2026, here’s how
Framework: You’re gonna (Achieve goal) in (Upcoming year), here’s how
Hook score: +491
Why this works:
Desire – This creator’s audience would love to be a full-time creator.
Timeliness – This was published in December of 2025, while 2026 is on everybody’s mind.
How you can use this framework: Tell your audience that they’re gonna achieve a big goal in the future and tell them how.
Examples of this framework in action:
- You’re gonna be fluent in Spanish in 2026, here’s how
- You’re gonna be an amazing piano player in 2026, here’s how
The Selling Scene
Title: This One Scene Will Change How You Sell Forever
Framework: This One (Entity) Will Change How You (Activity) Forever
Hook score: +1695
Why this works:
Curiosity – This title builds curiosity in two ways:
- It opens a loop and makes you want to know what this scene is.
- It also opens a loop with “Change How You Sell Forever” because you don’t know what or how your selling will change.
Scarcity – By focusing on just a single scene, it increases your interest in the scene.
Desire – This creator’s audience would love to get better at selling.
How you can use this framework: Tell your audience about one thing that will change how they do something forever.
Examples of this framework in action:
- This One Neighborhood Will Change How You Look at Tampa Forever
- This One Scene Will Change How You Cook Forever
The Pixel Paradox
Title: Megapixels DON’T Matter… But THIS Does
Framework: (Common, seemingly important thing) DON’T Matter… But THIS Does
Hook score: +1958
Why this works:
Curiosity – This title builds curiosity in two ways:
- It’s counterintuitive that megapixels don’t matter.
- It opens a loop and makes you wonder what “THIS” is.
How you can use this framework: Tell your audience that something they think matters actually doesn’t, but “THIS” does.
Examples of this framework in action:
- Pickup Lines DON’T Matter… But THIS Does
- Your Resume DOESN’T Matter… But THIS Does
Flop of the Week
Title: How To Get Clients To Trust You Step by Step
Hook score: -91
Why this flopped: This title follows a classic copywriting mistake: it’s about a feature, not a benefit.
Why do you care about getting clients to trust you? So you can make more sales.
This title might’ve been better if it were about the end goal, like this:
“How To Make More Money For Your Agency In 2026 (Step by Step)”
Or, if we wanted to add some sauce:
“The One Thing You Need To Make More Money As An Agency Owner”
Now, do titles about benefits always outperform titles about features?
Not necessarily. But you can:
- A/B test titles to see which one works best
- Change a title if the video is not performing well with your initial title
- Research before you publish your video to see if titles about your benefit or feature are doing well for your channel and your competitors.
Of course, there are plenty of other possible reasons this video could’ve flopped, but those aren’t in the scope of this newsletter 🙂
Alright, that wraps up this week’s Creator Hooks!
