Flop of the Week

Title: What I learned from one year of running a print store (and fixing my desk setup)

Hook score: -74

Why this flopped: I think there are a few reasons this title flopped.

First, it doesn’t really have a focus. Running a print store and fixing his desk setup seem too disjointed to grab the audience’s attention and get them excited.

Second, there’s not much emotion. This is largely because the desk setup bit is more of a distraction than an enhancement.

Here are some ways we could make it more focused and more emotional:

“What I learned from one year of running a print store (this changed my life)”

“Everything I learned running a failed print store for a year”

“My biggest regret about running a print store after 1 year”

“If I was going to start a print store in 2026, I’d do this”
