I’ve asked some of the best creators on YouTube, “How do you write such great titles?”
And they’ve all said the same thing: “I just model what works.”
So this email will show you 5 videos worth modeling to help you write great titles and save time.
P.S. If you want to save more time and use a title generator that uses all the titles from this newsletter, check out Creator Hooks Pro.
Hottie Habits
Title: 6 habits that make a mature woman IRRESISTIBLE – Carl Jung
Framework: 6 habits that make a (Specific audience) (Desirable attribute) – (Authority figure)
Hook score: +492
Why this works:
List – Lists make videos feel more tangible (you know exactly what the video will be about), and they add some curiosity.
Specific audience – Calling out a specific audience, especially one that may be lacking the thing your video is about, is a great way to grab the right attention.
Desire – This audience would love to be irresistible.
Authority – This leverages a bit of authority by dropping in a popular psychologist’s name at the end.
How you can use this framework: Tell your audience about habits that give a specific audience a desired result.
Examples of this framework in action:
- 6 habits that give introverts MAGNETIC charisma
- 6 habits that turn beginners into GREAT guitarists

Why this works:
List – Lists make videos feel more tangible (you know exactly what the video will be about), and they add some curiosity.
Beginners – Calling out beginners works so well because they’re the biggest and most eager to learn group of any audience.
Negativity – Nobody wants to make a mistake, so mistakes make for great video topics.
How you can use this framework: Tell your audience about the top beginner mistakes in your niche.

Confidence Crash Course
Title: Give me 15 Minutes and I’ll Make you Dangerously Confident
Framework: Give me 15 Minutes and I’ll Make you (Desirable attribute)
Hook score: +1376
Why this works:
Desire – Most people would love to be dangerously confident
Time Frame – The time frame of 15 minutes does 2 things here:
- It makes this video more tangible and interesting.
- It increases the desire because 15 minutes isn’t that long to become dangerously confident.
Drama – “Dangerously Confident” sounds a lot cooler and adds more drama and spice than just “Confident”.
How you can use this framework: Tell your audience to give you a specific amount of time and you’ll help them achieve a cool, spicy goal.
Examples of this framework in action:
- Give me 15 Minutes and I’ll Make you Dangerously Handsome
- Give me 15 Minutes and I’ll Make you Freakishly Strong
Freaky Fast
Title: ⚠️How to run so fast it feels unnatural 🏃♂️⚡💨
Framework: ⚠️How to (Do an activity so well) it feels unnatural 🏃♂️⚡💨
Hook score: +1466
Why this works:
Desire – This creator’s audience would love to run faster.
Another element at work here is, “show don’t tell.” If this title were “how to run really fast,” that probably wouldn’t have been as effective as running “so fast it feels unnatural.”
How you can use this framework: Tell your audience how to do something so well it feels unnatural.
Examples of this framework in action:
- How to learn so fast it feels unnatural
- How to get promoted so fast it feels like cheating
Study Smackdown
Title: How to DESTROY your exam like it owes you money (by a straight A engineering student)
Framework: How to DESTROY your [Entity] like it owes you money (by a [Authority figure])
Hook score: +1764
Why this works:
Desire – This creator’s audience would love to destroy their exam.
Authority – This creator builds trust by dropping that he’s a straight-A engineering student at the end.
Drama – Destroying your exam like it owes you money is a way more fun and dramatic way to say “get an A on your exam.”
How you can use this framework: Teach your audience how to destroy something like it owes them money, and at the end, drop in why they should listen to you.
Examples of this framework in action:
- How to DESTROY your sales targets like they owe you money (by a top 1% closer)
- How to DESTROY your marathon PR like it owes you money (by a sub-3 hour runner)
A/B Test of the Week

When you’re writing titles, it often helps to talk about things in broad terms. This makes it easier to read and understand.
In this example, most people don’t know who Markelle Fultz is, but even if they did, they may not be interested, or it may take them a second to scan through their memory to remember who he is.
“NBA Bust” is way more interesting, easier to read, and easier to understand.
If you find yourself getting into the weeds in your titles, back it up a bit and give things broadly appealing labels so that your audience can quickly and easily know what your video is about.
