Career Commitment

Title: JOB HOPPING IS DEAD! (YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN LOYAL!)

Framework: [Common Action] IS DEAD! (YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN [Alternative, better action])

Hook score: +388

Why this works:

Negativity – This is full of polarizing drama and controversy, which does a great job at grabbing people’s attention.

Even though this isn’t a style I’d personally use, this does show how drama and bold statements can do well on YouTube.

How you can use this framework: Tell your audience that something is dead and they should have made a better decision.

Examples of this framework in action:

  • THE DOLLAR IS DEAD! (YOU SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT BITCOIN!)
  • TIKTOK IS DEAD! (YOU NEED TO BE ON YOUTUBE!)

Framework: How To (Achieve goal)! Without (Unwanted action)

Hook score: +11492

Why this works:

Desire – This creator’s audience would love to raise a confident child.

Refute Objection – Many people might think they have to force their child out of their shell in order to get them to become confident, but this title refutes that objection.

How you can use this framework: Tell your audience how to do something without something they assume they have to do, but don’t want to.

  • How To RENOVATE YOUR KITCHEN! Without Demoing Anything

Flop of the Week

woman speaking

Title: What You NEED To Know About FORGIVENESS In Your 20s

Hook score: -90

Why this flopped: I like this title, but if I had to guess, the audience just isn’t into forgiveness.

But here’s the thing: sometimes your audience doesn’t care about your video topic, even though it might be exactly what they need to hear.

In this case, you can try to write the title about the outcome or pain, rather than the actual video subject.

Here are some examples:

“If your damaged soul is holding you back, you need to watch this”

“Once I learned this, I stopped beating myself up”

“The Small Mindset Shift That Changed My Life Forever”
